Our solution: Ghost II immobiliser installation
We fitted a Ghost II immobiliser to each Patrol. The system uses a personalised PIN sequence entered through existing vehicle buttons to authorise starting. It adds a separate authorisation step beyond possession of the vehicle’s key.
That extra step matters. Rather than relying solely on the factory key system, the owner has an additional layer of control over who can start their Patrol. Each owner’s PIN remains private.
We also walked the owners through the system’s operation and settings so they understood how to use their new protection day to day. This handover is an important part of making vehicle security practical for the person driving the car.
The result: two equipped Y62s with added protection
